Herdade do Peso Reserva Alentejo Tinto 2019
THE WINE
Blending innovation and tradition, we select grapes from our best plots. For Herdade do Peso Reserva, ageing is key, so we allow time to work its magic on these superior quality grapes. The winemakers are true artists skilled in using what nature offers. HdP Reserva reveals a special blend of varieties and unveils the beauty of Alicante Bouschet and Touriga Nacional to the wide world beyond Portugal.
HARVEST YEAR
In Vidigueira, 2019 was marked by a generally warm spring and early summer but there were cold nights and wet mornings. The summer saw wide temperature ranges: warm days and cold mornings with some humidity, a decisive factor in the freshness and quality of the grapes. There was some rainfall at the end of August that did not impact on ripening.
